The conference will take place at UNC’s Institute for Arts and Humanities in Hyde Hall, which is located on McCorkle Place and is accessible from East Franklin Street.
Parking can be difficult in Chapel Hill. There are metered and pay lots available for both days of the conference. Employee parking lots and the Cobb Deck, located between Raleigh Road and Country Club Road, are opened to the general public for free in the evenings (generally after 5 p.m.) and on the weekends. These spaces fill up quickly. For more details, please see below.
University Parking Options
Some visitor parking is available at The Visitors’ Center in the Morehead Planetarium parking lot, which is a short walk from Hyde Hall. After 5:00 p.m. and on weekends, the entire lot is available for hourly parking.
Visitors may also park in the pay lots and metered spaces listed below. Rates range from $1.50 to $2 per hour.
Highway 54 Lot, located on Highway 54, one block east of Country Club Road, is a 165 space visitor parking lot that provides visitor parking access to north and central campus. An attendant is on duty or a pay-in-lane station is available during posted operational hours.
Rams Head Deck, located on Ridge Road is a 400 space visitor parking deck that provides visitor parking access to the UNC campus due to its mid-campus location. An attendant is on duty or a pay-in-lane station is available during posted operational hours.
Swain Lot, located on Cameron Avenue is a 50 space visitor parking lot after 5:00 p.m. This lot is permitted for employees Monday thru Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. It is available for visitor or hourly parking after 5:00 p.m. and on weekends.
Metered Parking, located on Raleigh Street, Country Club Road, and South Road. Meters have 3 hour and 30 minute activation times and are monitored closely.

Chapel Hill Parking Options
There are two parking lots located within a short walking distance from Hyde Hall: The Town of Chapel Hill Wallace Deck (150 E. Rosemary Street–one block north of Franklin Street), which charges $0.50/half hour, and a second privately owned lot located across Rosemary Street, which offers parking for $6/day. There are also metered parking spaces available on Franklin Street, but these fill up quickly.
